World Soil Day

Today is World Soil Day. This is a chance to appreciate the role our soils play in our lives. In addition to sustaining life through foods we grow and consume directly and foods that sustain the animals we consume, it sustains the plants and trees that provide us with the oxygen we need to breathe. It's also been discovered that soil sequesters 3x the carbon found in the atmosphere.
