We Have Bees!

Claudia has finally embarked on her journey so long anticipated to raise bees and produce honey. A big part of her motivation was concern about helping bees when we learned about the drastic falloff in bee populations worldwide. It's been years of hem-hawing, but maybe it was part of starting a new farm, but she made plans and bought the bee boxes and ordered bees. In the meantime, as shown in the photo, she was offered bees that were harvested from a swarm by a new friend and fellow Bocce player, Leonard Ely in Palo Alto. These bees arrived just before the bee order was to be filled and necessitated putting a second bee box on order. Here we go!
