Harvest is Underway at Griffin Hill

Harvest has begun! The grape flavors peaked in the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir at basically the same time, so we had a very large pick day yesterday. We used a professional crew, as there was so much to pick in one day and the vines were pretty well laden with fruit. And what great fruit it is. We had absolutely no mildew in the entire vineyard and the berries and bunches were picture perfect. See photo of the Pinot Noir in the picking bin. All vineyards are reporting great fruit and I believe 2021 will go down as one of the top vintages in recent history. Additionally, there were no notable fires in the area so there were no panics or fear of smoke damage. We are so blessed!
